Introduction
Mountain Trust, Nepal is a non governmental organization which is
working to improve the lives of people in rural areas of Nepal.
The main office of this trust is in the U.K. In Nepal, its branch
office is in Lakeside, Pokhara.
The trust builds school, classrooms, provides furniture, uniforms,
teaching and sports equipments to primary and secondary schools in
the more disadvantaged sector of Nepal's educational system. The
trust mainly focuses on the health and education of the people of
Nepal. It also launches some awareness programs in many parts of
the country. It provides buildings and other support for adult
literacy, youth clubs, clean water supplies etc. The Mountain
Trust, Nepal also provides financial support to other
organizations and educational institutions which are renowned for
helping orphans, the poor and the helpless children.
Besides health and education, the trust also supports the peoples
whose economic condition is weak. The trust provides financial
support to those people who are suffering from different problems
due to poverty. The trust also launches some training programs for
women so that they can be independent and stand on their own feet.
In many places of Nepal, the trust is putting some information
boards which also help in keeping the surrounding environment
clean and to preserve the natural beauties of Nepal.
